Merlin heading for Canary

This afternoon the Portuguese EH-101 that is based at Porto Santo come to Madeira to pick up a doctor from EMIR (as seen in the first photo, the yellow VW Golf) and then departed heading for a ship near the Canary Islands. Soon it will come here again to leave the patient and the doctor. (With video on the end)

Take off with an open door

Some weeks ago an aircraft from Germania took off with an open door! Well, sort of, because it was just a sticker promoting Kassel-Calden airport. It's an interesting sticker, but for the less interested in aviation may appear that it is flying with the door open.

Santa Claus by parachute

This morning Santa Claus arrived to Madeira Aiport in a unique way... By parachute. This was done by the squadron 502 ''Elefantes'' of the Portuguese Air Force. After dropping Santa, the C295 made a low pass, waving to all who were on the balcony. Thanks very much, and Merry Christmas.

New spot, windy day

As I've already said in my previous message, I have tried two different spots, that is a marvelous place to do spotting on a windy day, as you are about to realize in some of the photos bellow. New cargo plane

After so many time without spotting, due to test papers and evaluations on school, yesterday I went to try some new spots. Later on I'll post the photos here.
Finally, I got the chance to photograph the new cargo plane, that replaces the previous ATP. It has been coming here for two weeks, and I still hadn't the chance to photograph him.
