This A310 arrived last monday, from Bucharest, on a charter flight, with passengers for the famous end of the year fireworks festival at Madeira.

Antonov An-12B Ukraine Air Alliance

Today, we've got an amazing visitor around Madeira: A fifty year old Antonov! Came on a cargo flight from Lisbon to Madeira, then, departing empty to Paris. It was scheduled to arrive yesterday at around 20:30 local time, but it changed for today 6AM. Fortunately, it was delayed 3 hours and arrived around 9:15AM, about 15 minutes after it stopped raining.

What could be better for christmas than a red nose airplane? Probably some special liveries, but this year it appears that we won't see them around Madeira, just at 30000ft...

A310 White

Last weekend we got an unusual visitor around here: an A310! I had already photographed this one two years ago, but it was all white. Now it has the titles of White, a portuguese charter company. It came to bring Sporting football team to play against a local team, União da Madeira.

Fokker 100 Carpatair

Saturday night went to the airport to photograph this not so common Fokker 100 from Carpatair, carrying FC Porto football team. Last time it diverted to Porto Santo and the match was cancelled.

Airberlin Etihad - Moving Forward

After almost two years, I finally photographed Airberlin's special livery Airberlin/Etihad. After so many cancellations, more or less five, It came to Madeira last week, on Thursday, the 12th November, but unfortunately I was in classes, and I missed it just for two or three minutes. Surprisingly, when I was starting to imagine that I would never see this livery, It appeared scheduled again for yesterday.

Everjets Debut Flight

Everjets used to operate small private aircrafts and helicopters, but today they have started doing charter flights from Madeira to Lisbon and Oporto. This A320, from Danish Air Transport, and wearing Everjets colors will be based at Madeira. First passenger flight is scheduled for tomorrow, at 9:30AM.

Goodbye Transaero...

October was not an happy month for the russian aviation... After the closure of Transaero, one of the main russian airlines, an A321 from Metrojet crashed over Egypt.

Here's one of the few photos that I have of the russian airline, back in 2014. This summer they canceled all flights to Madeira.
