Santa Claus by parachute

This morning Santa Claus arrived to Madeira Aiport in a unique way... By parachute. This was done by the squadron 502 ''Elefantes'' of the Portuguese Air Force. After dropping Santa, the C295 made a low pass, waving to all who were on the balcony. Thanks very much, and Merry Christmas.

New spot, windy day

As I've already said in my previous message, I have tried two different spots, that is a marvelous place to do spotting on a windy day, as you are about to realize in some of the photos bellow. I have been waiting for so much time to take some photos like these ones, and finally managed to do so. Special thanks to my friend Samuel Passos, who took me there. New cargo plane

After so many time without spotting, due to test papers and evaluations on school, yesterday I went to try some new spots. Later on I'll post the photos here.
Finally, I got the chance to photograph the new cargo plane, that replaces the previous ATP. It has been coming here for two weeks, and I still hadn't the chance to photograph him.

Santa Claus at Madeira

Santa Claus this year visited Madeira earlier, came on Finnair. The plane has just received that sticker, and then, two days later, he has already been spotted by my lenses! Now let's see what Airberlin will do this year, and if they bring it here, because on the previous years, well... Nothing...

As on these last days we haven't got not much special stuff, AirBerlin canceled on the last minute, by the 3rd time, the visit of one of their A320 with special scheme, and the Smartlynx turned to be fully white, in stead of having the livery os TailWind, I have to go to the stock and find something to post here. So, today, I choosed this A330 from TAP Portugal, that, due to some wind it took off earlier than normal, and a Monarch's A321.

A321 Alltours

A couple weeks ago, after a long time without phoographing any airplane, this A321 from Germania come here, with Alltours livery and already eqquiped with sharklets.

C-295 VIMAR

Some months ago, Portuguese Air Force upgraded two of their C-295 (16708 and 16709) and also gave them a new paint, wich is more shiny than the previous one.

Today's takeoff from C295 VIMAR 16708, made a low take-off, and then, after flying over the runway, pitched up in a steep angle.
